The first 30 minutes is dedicated to explain about the postures methods and their significance’s. The poses are changed actively but the instructor makes it a delight to watch and understands. The whole workout lasts for an hour and a half and is the first series of Yoga Therapy. It also helps to develop abs with jumps and back-bends.
Yoga Short Forms: The Practice of Ashtanga Yoga
This as the name suggests is for shorter term yoga practices. Each level lasts only for 30-40 minutes. Which means each workout is of only 5-10 minutes. The workouts are quick paced and the beginner level is easy enough and it gets challenging as move further. The instructor clearly reminds you to breath and each posture lasts for 5 breathing’s. The intermediate level is challenging but has flow, rhythm, and elegance. Each session includes standing postures, bending, and seated postures. Most of the moves are modified version to suit the short time. The workout is fit to do on a daily basis.

This Yoga DVD contains the advanced levels of ancient Ashtanga Yoga. The postures are modified to suit the modern time practitioners. The elegance of movements from one pose to the other is marvelous. The background is a visual treat. The flexibility and the ease with which David moves is the highlight of the video. It is not an instructional video but more of an educating documentary that lights up the knowledge on the advanced areas of Ashtanga Yoga.
All the workouts start with sun salutations and ends with a corpse posture. He explains about the postures and how the transitions occur and gives tips on how to alter or skip postures. All modifications must be according to the physical abilities and there is no need to strain the body to attain the posture.
